It's starting to feel like snowboarding season

December has been drier than average creating an exercise in patience. We finally received just enough snow to warrant taking out the snowmobiles on their first trip in search of some good turns in isolated terrain. While the snow was still quite thin, particular north facing areas with preserved snow had just enough consolidated snow for steeper, higher speed turns.  It felt so good to get the sleds out, dig a few pits and lay down some turns steep enough to drag a hand.
